Its'
Christmas, and the youngest League members are on duty. They soon get a call
from a warden of Girder's prison break. Soon they all get on his case an
attempt to bring him in. However, he trounces all of them neatly and insists
he's not trying to get away, but has somewhere to be. The Atom Smasher takes
him down, even as he insists to be let go of (even for just 20 minutes)
because it's Christmas and he needs to be somewhere. Atom Smasher turns him
in but realizes what Girder was trying to do. He then brings the Girder's

Review
|
|
I enjoyed this comic
the most of all JLU stories. Girder's attempt to get home was heartbreaking
as he fought with the leaguers. Barberi's take on the art is once again a
solid spin-off from Bruce Timm's work that stands well on his own. The
brighter coloring, while working against a lot of the comics seems to give
this issue an air of youth and brightness. |
|
Notable for |
|
- the full
appearance of Atom Smasher.
- the full
appearance of Power Girl, setting her apart from Galatea (JLU villain
designed after Power Girl). |
