Synopsis- SPOILER ALERT!!! |
|
Gypsy
attempts to take on a small group of armed guards in an installation. She
calls in the Justice League led by Capt. Atom. After a short skirmish, the
armed guards declare legality of their actions and arms. Checking the papers
and finding them in order, Capt. Atom reprimands Gypsy for her bad call.
Gypsy
proceeds to investigate the matter further and finds that the purchase of
the properties can be traced to Deacon, who is rumored to have been
investing on supervillains for profit. Flash confirms that one of the
addresses Gypsy has located is where his previous attack by Mirror Master
transpired.
Gypsy
realizes that an attack on several leaguers has been set in a world summit.
She locates the address wherein several robot drones to attack the summit
are controlled from and attacks the controllers single-handedly. |
|
Continuity Peg- |
|
Huntress yet again
in original suit. This may place the events in this comic (and #12) in
season one of JLU as nothing else contradicts it. |
|
Continuity References- |
|
Gypsy mentions an
Intergang skirmish 'last month'. This has no episode or issue reference.
We briefly see
Toyman as one of the villains Deacon funds. |
|
Logic Out The Window |
|
For something that
can't be proven, Gypsy was able to connect the Deacon's 'secret' connections
and businesses with seeming ease. |

Review
|
|
Not stellar, but
not lousy either. Rick pulled off Gypsy and the League really well this time
and Adam Beechen made this a light, fun and focused look at the Gypsy's
adventures while keeping it a 'League' book. Also it seems to fit nicely
into existing mythos. |
|
Notable for |
|
- having Capt. Atom
as field leader
- a Gypsy focus. |
