Synopsis- SPOILER ALERT!!! |
|
Starro
has taken over the Watchtower and has control over the Justice League. J'onn
is the only one who has been able to evade him. Starro sets all the leaguers
against J'onn. This takes his mind back to the time when his family in Mars
was in danger against bloodwinds, a storm that tore through skin, and he had
been apart from them. He realizes just as he did back then that his greatest
fear is being alone and that he'll need to find his inner strength to save
his family, in this case, the league. He allows Starro to enter his mind,
and there he battles the villain. |

Continuity References- |

This references
issue 5 of Justice League Adventures wherein Starro attempted conquest as
well. |
|
Continuity Go Bye Bye |
|
While this story
would have fit JLU continuity perfectly, the art on Hawkgirl and the
Watchtower are from the first 2 seasons of Justice League. |

Review
|
|
The story is good in
that it allows us to enetr into what J'onn thinks, much like in JLA year
one. However it has been criticized for overusing his Last Martian theme
especially since it's hot on the heels of the last issue which was also
somehow touching on his aloneness. |
|
Notable for |
|
- a first person
account from J'onn's view. |
