"The One-Man Justice League"

Script-Adam Beechen
Art- Dave Santana
Colors- Heroic Age
Letters - Mike Sellers
Editor - Rachel Cluckstern

Feature- Metamorpho

Cameos: the usual melee, nothing new

Guest-Starring: Superman, The Atom, Green Arrow, Black Canary

Villain: Tattoed Man, Brotherhood of Evil, The Top, Kobra, Psycho Pirate, Solar Flare (Brimstone), Matter Master

Ignoring Metamorpho's character treatment, this fits into JLU early season 3.

Synopsis- SPOILER ALERT!!!
Metamorpho can handle anything! This soon causes his teammates to dislike him as he is being a 'ball-hog' taking down supervillains by his lonesome with no regard for his teammates desire to act. Soon however he comes face to face with Matter Master and learns the value of teamwork.
Continuity Peg- NEGATIVE
We've seen enough of Metamorpho to know that this is not the one depicted in the DCAU.
Continuity References-

The robot seen in JLUs01e01- Initiation is called Solar Flare here, he is named Brimstone in other media (DVD bonuses, cards) while he is unnamed in the show itself.

Continuity Go Bye Bye

Metamorpho acting very out-of-character.

Metamorpho calling the Watchtower the Satellite.

Review

This issue was a solid slope downwards from the past issues (which were starting to actually get better). It seems that the writer decided to either stick to a more mainstream comic Metamorpho or drive a moral and in the process completely botched continuity. Also this kind of action by a team member was seen a few issues back with B'wana Beast. That was also wrong characterization, ALSO by Adam Beechen. By now, a true JLU fan, kids included would wish that the writer paid attention to the source material (meaning the show, not JLE or the Outsiders comic) before attempting to tackle characters. Overall, while the action was entertaining, putting it against the background of everything JLU, it's a disappointing read.
Notable for

-headlining Metamorpho

-showing various villains
